What's New in General Santos City: A Euro Xtreme Circus Experience

It's often said, capturing comedy's ephemeral essence, its power to unlock a universal sense of joy, is what elevates it as a form far more challenging than drama. This resonance of thought accompanied me as our team was graciously invited to document what can only be described as GenSan's most illustrious international showcase to date—the Euro Xtreme Circus.

From September 14th to October 6th, GenSan becomes the heart of this magnificent Philippine Tour, with Davao having set the stage. Throughout the entirety of this circus, spanning a captivating 2 hours with a brief interlude, my team and I were engrossed, not just behind our lenses, but by the remarkable sequence of performances unfolding in front of us. Performers from distant shores of Latin America and Europe displayed feats so mesmerizing, it left us in a state of ecstatic disbelief. The experience was so profound that I felt compelled to share it with those closest to me—I invited my parents. Witnessing their enjoyment, their awe at the once-in-a-lifetime spectacle before them, stirred a nostalgia so palpable, it transported me back to my childhood; to a time I barely recall, watching a circus at Plaza Heneral Santos, wide-eyed and wonderstruck.
